1. Freeze the approved business data
Create a master record containing the public business name, street address, suite/unit format, main phone, canonical website URL, opening hours, category, description, logo, and primary photos.
Use the same approved record for every team member and vendor.
FATJOE currently offers manual local citation submissions with duplicate checks, reporting, screenshots, and login details for supported countries. It does not currently provide ongoing citation management.

2. Find what already exists
Search the business name, address, and phone number. Include historical variants. Use a citation-audit tool if the footprint is large or if competitor research is important.
Classify each discovery as correct, incorrect, duplicate, inaccessible, or missing key information.
3. Fix priority problems first
Correct major platforms and obvious duplicates before building a large new batch. If a directory requires verification, document who owns that step and the expected verification method.
Do not create a new listing just because correcting an old one is inconvenient; that often creates a duplicate.
4. Build the missing citations
Prioritize core platforms, then add relevant country, regional, local, and niche sources. Complete meaningful fields beyond NAP when the platform supports them, especially categories, hours, URL, services, and images.
Keep a submission log with the directory, profile URL, account email, status, verification requirements, credentials location, and last checked date.
5. Recheck after changes
Any move, rebrand, phone change, merger, or location closure can make old listings inaccurate. Re-run an audit after major changes and periodically for high-value locations.
